The York County Sheriff’s Department have released further details in reference to the Gorham Savings Bank robbery and the vehicle and foot pursuits we reported on June 12, 2024.

Before the Gorham Savings Bank Robbery, there was a previous robbery on Friday June 7, 2024, around 11:55 A.M, and the suspect in custody and the one on the run is allegedly involved with both robberies. The previous robbery occurred at the Main Street Variety store located at 123 Main Street in Buxton, Maine. A male suspect entered the store with a handgun and walked up to the clerk and demanded the cash drawer. The suspect then fled the store and left in a silver Nissan Frontier that had New Hampshire license plates. The Buxton Police Department searched the area and was unable to locate the suspect or vehicle on that date.

On Monday, June 10, 2024, the Buxton Police Department found the vehicle at an abandoned railroad near River Road. There was no one with the vehicle. It was found that the vehicle had been stolen from Gorham, Maine.

On Wednesday June 12, 2024, the Gorham Savings Bank in Waterboro was robbed.  The suspect fled on a dirt bike and was observed by State Troppers near Hollis. The Buxton Police Department assisted the State Troopers and York County Sheriff’s Department with K-9 tracking. Several pieces of evidence including a handgun was found during the track in the woods. It was determined that both robberies were similar.

After an investigation, Police was able to determine that the alleged suspect was 41-year-old Timothy Riley from Westbrook.

On Wednesday June 12, 2024, around 7:45 P.M. a Buxton Police Detective and a York County Sheriff’s Detective Sergeant was on Plains Road when they located the suspect. Timothy allegedly fled in a vehicle on Plains Road toward Buxton with another vehicle occupant. The suspects shortly passed a Buxton Police Officer on the Buxton Bridge and the suspect continued to flee in the vehicle with her pursuing it. The suspect crashed the vehicle and the two occupants then fled on foot. After a short foot pursuit, Timothy Riley was taken into custody on a back porch in the area. Timothy Riley is being charged with two counts of Robbery, Felony Possession of a Firearm, fleeing and eluding Police Officers, and a probation violation.

The second alleged suspect is identified as 37-year-old Kyle Allman from Hollis. Warrants are being issued for Kyle Allman. If you know where Kyle Allman is located or you observe him, do not approach and call 911 or your local Police Department.

We will keep you updated on the progress of locating Kyle Allman. Great job to the law enforcement personnel in this incident.
