McDonald’s to Launch Special Sauce in the U.S. Inspired by a Sauce in Japan
McDonald’s announced today that they are going to be offering a limited-edition special sauce for their chicken McNuggets staring on July 9th, 2024.
It will be called Garlic Sauce and is inspired by a sauce currently only available in Japan called Black Galic Sauce. The sauce is supposed to be released in reference to a supernatural anime called “Jujutsu Kaisen.” Itis a mixture of garlic and soy sauce that will have a slightly tangy sweetness to it. It will only be available by ordering in the Mcdonld’s App, according to the McDonald’s spokesperson.
There will be eight different lid designs bases on characters from the anime series which will include Yuji Itadori, Megumi Fushiguro, Nobara Kugisaki, Satoru Gojo, Kento Nanami, Suguru Geto, Mahito, and Sukuna. The series currently has two seasons and started in 2020. It is about a high school student who is in a world with sorcery and curses. The student then becomes the host of an evil spirit without consent.
People are recalling that McDonald’s did have a garlic sauce in the 1980’s that was a garlic and parmesan mixture.
